Frequently Asked Questions

Should I lay down a protective barrier like plywood before my dumpster is delivered?
If you'd like to, please do! But we're confident that our container will not leave any damage on most driveways. There are large rollers on the back of our containers to help them roll easily across most surfaces.

Will a dumpster hurt my driveway?
Our containers will not harm most driveways. Our truck and container combined can weigh as much as 36,000 pounds, but most concrete driveways will hold up to this weight. While our drivers will always err on the side of caution, we will place the container where the customer likes.

Do I need to be home when you drop off my dumpster? Pick it up?
Not unless you would like to be.  With our online ordering tool you can attach pictures of where you would like the container placed to make sure we have it just right for you—whether you're there or not!

How long can I keep the dumpster?
Our general rental period is 7 days. We can offer a wide range of periods if you require a container for a shorter or longer period. We also offer permanent containers as well. Whether you have metal you are recycling or just large debris that won't work with a regular trash service we can meet your needs.

Do I need a permit to have a dumpster on site?
Not if it will be placed on your property or if you have permission from the owner of the property.  If you would like it placed in the street we may need to speak with the city first to make sure no permit is needed.

What size dumpster do I need?
That totally depends on your project! If it's a small clean out, like your garage or a bedroom or two, try our 10yd container. But if you're throwing out old furniture like couches, dressers, and bookshelves our 20yd container might be a better fit. Do you have a large cleanup job? Try our 30yd container which you can load over the side or carry stuff in through the convenient back doors.

Is there a weight limit on dumpsters? How do I know if I hit it?
We include 2 tons with our 10yd orders, 3 tons with our 20yd orders, and 4 tons with our 30yd orders. Each additional ton is billed at $45.00 per ton. We do have overall legal load limits so if you have questions about those, or if you think your project may exceed them, contact us. We'll walk you through it.

How much does stuff weigh?
On average each yard of household waste weighs about 200 pounds. Your average trash bag weighs about 35-45 lbs, your average couch weighs 75-100 pounds, a small moving box of old books or magazines weighs about 50lbs. As always these are just estimates. Give us a call if you are still unsure of what size container you might need.

What can I put in the dumpster?
You can put anything in the dumpster except the following: Liquid paints, Chemicals, liquid fuels, oils, items with freon (Ice maker, fridge, freezer, air conditioner, etc.) batteries, any hazardous material and tires.

How do I rent a dumpster?
Simple! Use our online ordering tool or give us a call.

What does it cost to rent a dumpster?
We have our  prices built in to our online ordering tool. Type in your address, delivery date, and what size container you'll need to see prices.

What types of payments are accepted for a dumpster rental?
We accept all major credit cards, checks and cash. All payment must be processed before time of delivery of the container.
